Yes, that was the line Rick used to catch my attention. You see, I was working on Pacific Ave in San Francisco and Rick was working at The Battery (on Battery Street around the corner from my office). Apparently, we had said "hello" to each other before (Honestly, I can't remember)... Anyway, it must have been a few days where he didn't see me, so when he finally did see me he said "Hey, where have you been".. It kind of threw me a bit because I hadn't really paid attention to him (sorry babe, I was in a different situation at that time)...Anyway, he introduced himself and made a very nice comment ... After a few pleasantries, I said "Goodbye" and was on my way to the gym.... Every day I would see him either when I was walking into Starbucks or when I was heading out to the gym and every day (no, no seriously) he would say "hello" and offer me something to eat... an orange...an avocado... a candy bar and everyday I would say "no thank you"... Eventually, I ran into Rick at Starbucks and he offered to buy my coffee... Feeling bad that I always refused his kindness, I relented and accepted his offer...We quickly became friends talking about our kids, life, etc.. While we always chatted, we always respected our circumstances... Life happened ...fast forward three years, a random text and call...and the rest is history... We couldn't be happier.
