Funicolare di Castel San Pietro
A gondola ride to the top of the hill for a great view of Verona from above after which I recommend you walk back down.
Castelvecchio Museum
Old Castel in the city centre with a beautiful bridge over the river Adige.
Verona Arena
A smaller version of Rome’s Coloseum in the main square of Verona.
Piazza delle Erbe
The second main square of Verona, the herb square, where on most weekends you can find a market and you can climb the stairs to the top of the clock tower for an overhead view

A street where to see a traditional ‘portico’ or covered sidewalk.

Lake Garda
Beautiful quaint villages line the lake coast. You can take a train to Desenzano or Peschiera or buses to the eastern villages. The three main ones in order of distance are Lazise (closest) Bardolino, and Garda.
