Kindly RSVP by August 8th. If you need more time, feel free to email or text us!
Please refer to your invitation. If a plus-one is included, their name will be listed when you RSVP.
We love your little ones, but this is an adults-only celebration. For those traveling with kids, check with the hotel concierge for babysitting services for the wedding day!
Dress to impress and be ready to dance the night away! The wedding will be semi-formal; think long dresses, suits, and comfortable heels.
Yes! The ceremony will be on the beach and the rest of the celebration will also be outdoors. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes; think block heels, wedges, or dressy sandals. Thin heels may sink into the sand or grass.
Yes, we have a room block at Dreams Onyx starting on December 3rd, 2025. Additional details and a link to reserve your room can be found in the Travel section of our website.
Yes, we'd love for you to attend! However, please note that if you are not staying at Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa, you will need to purchase a day pass at the hotel reception to attend any wedding events held at the resort or its sister property, Breathless.
Guests staying at Dreams Onyx with our group are required to book a minimum of three nights. We recommend arriving one day before the wedding (Thursday, December 4, 2025) to settle in and join us for welcome drinks. On Saturday, there will be an optional brunch to kick off the day, followed by plenty of time to explore and enjoy the resort’s amenities. Most guests will depart on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
Yes, your passport must be valid for the expected duration of your stay in the Dominican Republic. Starting July 31, 2022, your passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after the date of your arrival in the Dominican Republic. Additionally, the Dominican Republic government issues an online document called an e-Ticket, designed to track tourists who enter and exit the country. Each and every person who wishes to visit the Dominican Republic must complete two application forms (your airline company will remind you of this prior to check-in). These are for: Pass for arrival (used when entering the country) Pass for departure (used when leaving the country) If a visitor knows both the dates they are due to enter and depart the Dominican Republic, then they can use one application for both.
Fly into Punta Cana International Airport - airport code PUJ.
Taxis: You’ll find taxis readily available outside the airport terminal. Ride-Sharing Services: Uber is an alternative and is widely available. Simply open the app, and a ride can pick you up right from the airport. Note: majority of drivers will only speak Spanish - something to keep in mind in case you have to communicate with your driver. To avoid any language barrier issues, please book a shuttle ahead of time or take a taxi. Shuttle Services: If you prefer, you can arrange a shuttle service via our travel specialists - information under 'Travel' section of wedding site. Once you reserve a room under our room block, you can arrange the shuttle service via our team at Our Destination Weddings.
Expect sunshine and warmth! December in Punta Cana is typically in the mid-80s°F (around 29°C) during the day and a little cooler at night. While it’s dry season, we recommend packing sunscreen, a hat, and maybe a light shawl or jacket for the evenings.
The local currency is the Dominican Peso. Credit cards are accepted, but it’s a good idea to carry some cash for small purchases.
Of course not! The most important thing for us is your presence, and there are plenty of options outside of the suggested hotel. For our guests traveling to Punta Cana, Airbnb and VRBO offer a variety of affordable and flexible options. These are a fantastic choice, especially if you're traveling with a larger group or planning to share accommodations with friends. Please note, if you're not staying at the suggested hotel but wish to attend the welcome drinks, after party, or farewell lunch/pool day, you will need to purchase a day pass at Dreams Onyx upon arrival. Most condos and villas in the area have at least three bedrooms, offering spacious and comfortable stays. Nightly rates typically range from $130 to $175, but you can even find condos for less (around $100 per night) if booked early! We recommend exploring these options soon to secure the best spot for your stay.
No, the ceremony and reception are at an offsite venue called Kukua Beach Club. We wanted to give everyone options, whether you prefer to stay at another hotel, Airbnb, VRBO, or join us at Dreams Onyx. We have a room block reserved at Dreams Onyx for those who would like to stay there with us. Shuttle service will be provided to and from Kukua for guests staying at Dreams Onyx.
Shuttles will be available to transport guests to and from Dreams Onyx to the wedding venue. For those staying at other accommodations, such as different hotels, Airbnbs, or private rentals, we recommend using taxis or rideshare services to get to the venue.
Yes, please include any food allergies when you RSVP, and we will gladly accommodate your needs.
Stick to bottled water. Bottled water is widely available at the resort and provided in guest rooms.
Your presence and the time you’ve taken to travel for our wedding are truly the greatest gifts we could ask for. However, if you wish to provide a gift, we are saving for a down payment on our first home together. Contributions can be made by clicking the Registry tab on our website.
Feel free to call / text Rosanna or Everette directly. Additionally, we have a joint wedding inbox we will be closely monitoring if easier: rosannaeverettesmith@gmail.com
