Boy met girl. Boy fell in love with girl. Girl was slow to catch on, but soon fell in love with boy! Our story all started in Bloomington, IN where we both went to Medical School. After classes David would invite me for fancy "hipster" coffee and we would hang out and talk for hours. We enjoyed several outings together, which for the record "were not dates" including a picnic at Bryan Park, kayaking on Monroe, and ice-skating. We had a wonderful time together! In the meantime, David was patiently waiting for almost two years for us to officially date. Finally on St. Patty's day 2018 the luck of the Irish struck. Our relationship blossomed and we soon were talking about all the things we would do together as we grow old and wrinkly.

On October 9, 2019, David and I were driving to Chicago for a weekend with some of our close friends and I was badgering him about when he would be proposing. I was super excited to have a weekend with friends, but little did I know what was coming. That night we played Fortnight, and I was insulted by teenage boys due to my impeccably bad skills. The next morning on October 13, 2019 I was super excited to show David around Lincoln Park Zoo. Before leaving David mentioned going to a pond that was near the zoo. It was a beautiful, crisp fall morning and perfect for walking in the city. After walking through the zoo we headed to Alfred Caldwell Lily Pond. When we got to the pond we made a loop and sat on one of the rocks enjoying the scene. All of a sudden David said, ...... Clearly not a word was understood. Thankfully the ring was a giveaway and even that was difficult to see as I was wiping off the tears. I was excited beyond belief. We soon called our family and returned to our friends for a fun brunch celebration at The Conrad. Then David took me to The Signature Room at the 95th for a delicious dinner and Chicago Skyline. The night ended with a celebration with all the friends at a Cocktail Bar! David did an AMAZING job!
