Our story is one that is kind of common now a days but for us it was totally different. We both took a chance on on-line dating in 2017 and we're glad we did! Frankie messaged me one day and asked all the right questions, was respectful, and I thought he was (and still is) handsome. We talked online for a couple of weeks before I gave him my phone number so we could actually talk on the phone. Around a month later we met for our first date at Centennial Park, it went so well we decided to go out for dinner. We've been together ever since. I don't think that we've spent more than 2 days apart from each other since September 1st 2017.
They got me good!! Frankie and Yoli had been planning this for weeks with me being none the wiser!! He asked Yoli to help him chose the ring in the beginning of February. He spoke to his parents about popping the question in January and asked my parents on March 8th. The day of, Frankie and I had plans to go to an early movie and to dinner. We both thought that the restaurant opened at 4 P.M. so we had some time to kill. Frankie had mentioned to me that he wanted to see how Centennial Park looked in the Spring and thought we could walk around for a while then go to the restaurant. Since we had time.... I thought it would be a good idea to walk around DSW and pick up some soaps from Bath and Body Works. I didn't know that I was throwing a potential wrench in their plans. We get to the park and walk to the Gardens when all of a sudden Frankie starts asking me if I've ever seen the Gardens in full bloom and started kind of rambling. Then all of a sudden he says that he had a bunch of stuff planned to say to me but he forgot it all and then he got down on one knee and opened up this pink box that turned into a flower with the most beautiful ring in the center of it and asked me to marry him. I said Yes!! Then I turned around to see Yoli recording the whole thing on her phone! I was super surprised and I asked him if he spoke to my dad. After he said yes, I started asking all the questions like when, where, how lol. I was taken completely off guard and it is definitely a day I will never forget.
