This is a VERY controversial topic, and though we have been advised against doing so, we will be allowing children at our wedding. We want every member of our families to have the opportunity to partake in our celebration including the littles! HOWEVER, we expect everyone with children to take care of said children. There are parts of this venue that are NOT safe for young children and they need to be watched at all times. There is a waterfall and a fountain down a rocky terrain that is deep. So please, keep an eye on them or get a babysitter if you plan on getting lit. If there is damage to the venue and/or vendor equipment or ruined vibes due to an extremely poorly behaved child, we will sacrifice the child or we will ask you to leave.
The ceremony will be held where the bride has done all of her sacraments. And the venues nearby did not fulfill the *vision* the bride had. The groom had no strong opinions about the topic. The drive from Dallas to the venue is about 1hr 30min.
When you enter the Covered Bridge Venue, there will be a gate that will open and you will follow a long winding path to get to the venue. You will cross a bridge and eventually make it to a large parking lot that will have a shuttle service to carry you to the venue itself. There will be no lights due to the wildlife on site, please have your headlights on and drive slowly when leaving/entering the party after daylight hours.
Great question, unfortunately this was a direct request from the venue and it is in writing in the contract and we have no power to change it.
