Taylor & Rosalie first met September of freshman year of college at St. John's University. A chance encounter under a pink cherry tree lead to a love that has blossomed into marriage. Rosalie instantly had a crush on Taylor (which he would only learn of four years later!) and they continued to build a friendship over the next few years, living in the corners of each other's hearts and minds, until one fateful day in February 2019 when they reconnected thanks to Snapchat! Rosalie saw a photo of some decadent chocolate dessert on Taylor's story and couldn't resist inquiring! They met up again at St. Louise de Marillac Hall on campus one night after class, and it was clear this budding friendship had blossomed into something more. Their first date was one week later, on March 9, 2019 at the Cheesecake Factory. While Taylor drove Rosalie home that night, Rosalie realized that she never wanted to go home without him. A week later, their second date followed at La Bottega and a third date to Holy Thursday Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral. Countless dates, adventures, and travels around the world have followed, their most magical being Taylor's proposal to Rosalie at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. They are so excited for their love to continue to blossom, bright and big as that cherry tree where they first met!
Around winter 2024, Taylor and Rosalie started talking about planning their next vacation. They tossed ideas around and decided on Paris. Little did Rosalie know, while planning their first European vacation was big, Taylor was planning something much bigger! A little while before they left, Taylor suggested to Rosalie they take nice professional photos while in Paris. They'd taken professional pics in NYC (on their third date!) and on the Brooklyn Bridge (where they did their engagement shoot!) so why not mark the first Euro trip with some special snapshots? Rosalie agreed, and didn't think anything of it since they'd done this before. Then, on May 5, 2025, while getting ready for photos, Rosalie had a *second* of thinking, "Maybe this is it!" But Taylor had been his usual cool, collected self, giving her no hints their lives were about to change! When they met the photographer, he was there with his camera and a bag of lenses. No elaborate setup for a proposal like ones Rosalie had seen before. "Ok, cool, it really is a photoshoot," she thought. After NINTEY MINUTES of photo-taking all around Trocadero, Rosalie wasn't thinking a thing about a potential proposal! If anything, she was thinking of getting a Parisian brunch soon because it was 11:30 a.m. and 52 degrees in May with wind, and she was in a silk dress! Then, they walked down a staircase to the right of the Eiffel Tower at Port Debilly along the Seine. Daniel, their photographer, said they'd do some solo shots. Rosalie was first: "Stand facing the Eiffel Tower," Daniel instructed. "Now, turn when I count to three! One, two, three!" On three, Rosalie turned to the most magical moment of her life - Taylor down on one knee with a heart-shaped ring box and classic, sparkly round diamond ring (which she didn't notice at first because she was crying too hard). In classic Rosalie fashion, she handled it with grace - fell down, crying, and then leapt into Taylor's arms after he said some beautiful things she will never forget. After more photos, lots of tears, hugging, giddy laughter, they went to La Carette and called family and friends to celebrate their happily ever after!
