We met in the lab for Physics of Music and Sound at UNT. Rosalie missed her lab earlier in the day, and waited for the next lab to start. In the later lab class, Andrew happened to be working alone, so Rosalie asked if he wanted to work together. Who knew that really would mean working together for life!
Andrew and Rosalie were camping near the Grand Canyon, and decided to watch the sunrise on Rosalie's birthday. They woke up early, dodged deer on the road to the National Park, and made it to the canyon rim just in time for the sun beams to light up the canyon. Rosalie was attempting a picture with her phone, and Andrew asked if she wanted her last present. He then got down on one knee and proposed! Rosalie was so happy, that Andrew had to ask her if she wanted to see the ring! They celebrated the day by enjoying breakfast at the El Tovar Hotel and walking the rim of the canyon. Best birthday a girl can ask for!
After planning 3 different weddings, with 3 different dates and seasons, we realized that our dream wedding would have to be put on hold. Thankfully we were still able to get married at Rose's church in Farmer's Branch, but Andrew's family was unable to make it. Family and friends came together to make the day special. We streamed our ceremony live on youtube (Search Ohanian Garcia Wedding Mary Immaculate), and held a small (12 people) reception spaced out in our backyard. Andrew was amazing, and built long farmhouse tables, and set up firepits. After 8 years of dating, we were married! What a dream! We were only missing one of the important parts of marriage, where our families meet and unite.
