Where is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Poplar Springs Manor in Warrentown, Virginia. Please refer to the Schedule link on our wedding website for the address and Google maps location. All other events related the wedding will be held on site that weekend (i.e., rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour).

What is the schedule for the wedding day and are there other events?

Answer

The ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 3rd in the late afternoon and a cocktail hour and reception will follow into the night. Welcome begins at 4:30pm. Please refer to the Schedule link on our wedding website for further information.

Do you have a Wedding Registry?

Answer

For the Wedding, your love and company on our wedding day is the only present we need! If you do wish to honor us with a gift, a contribution towards our future home would be much appreciated! We will have a wishing well at the venue.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and formal cocktail dresses

I'm from out of town and will need to make travel plans.

Answer

There are 2 hotel options for our out-of-town guests. They are available at a discounted rate from the link on our travel page. Both will have transportation provided the day of the wedding to and from the venue (Saturday, 9/3). We will provide the specific times the transportation will pick-up and drop-off from these hotels on our website in August.

What's the best way to RSVP and when is the deadline?

Answer

The deadline to RSVP will be August 1st. When we send formal invitations at the end of June and there will be an RSVP card to send through mail. However, for your convenience and our preference, please feel free to use to the online RSVP link on our wedding website.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We hope for a beautiful sunny day for our wedding day! If that's the case, the ceremony will take place outdoors, the cocktail hour will take place both inside and outside, and the reception will take place indoors.

What is the weather going to be like?

Answer

On September 3, the temperature in Warrenton typically ranges from 62°F to 82°F. The last few years, it has been in the high 70s. If the temperature is too hot or rains, we will move the ceremony indoors.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Absolutely! We'd love to have all your little ones on our special day. There are also multiple rooms upstairs in the manor house for some quiet or privacy if needed during the reception.

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

If you are staying at one of the hotels we have blocked rooms for (located on our Travel link on our wedding website) there will be transportation provided to and from the venue. The times for departure and return will be updated on the Schedule link on our website in August. If you are not staying at one of these locations, there will not be transportation but there will be free parking at the venue.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We will have a custom wedding themed cocktail menu if you'd like to try, but our bartenders will be able to make other cocktails as well. We will also have beer/wine available.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a three-course plated dinner and of course our wedding cake! You will be able to indicate your selection for your entrée on the RSVP card, or the RSVP link on our wedding website.

What is the name of the handsome dog in your engagement photos?

Answer

That is Jameson our Scottish Terrier. He is part of the wedding party as the very honorable role of "Best Dog". The happiest moment Jameson has is when his dad asked his mom, "woof you be mine, fur-ever and ever?" so naturally we wouldn't want him to miss out on such a special day. He is so excited to meet everyone and get the wedding paw-ty started!
