We met at a Sunday service and didn't think much of it. Throughout those months, we would always be around the same people, but we never really began a friendship. One day, the church had a youth outing in which we all went ice skating. Toward the end, we took a group photo, all holding hands, and we were paired next to each other; it was our first time holding hands... but it didn't start there. We didn't see each other for a little over five years until another random Sunday service when we met again. The time was right, purpose aligned, and the rest is history.

Nos conocimos un domingo en la iglesia, pero no le dimos mucha importancia. A pesar de que siempre estábamos rodeados de personas en común, nunca comenzamos una amistad. Un día, la iglesia organizó una salida de jóvenes en la que todos fuimos a patinar sobre hielo. Al final de la noche, nos tomamos una foto en grupo, todos agarrados de la mano, y de casualidad nos tocó estar uno al lado del otro. Indirectamente, así fue la primera vez que nos tomamos de la mano... pero nada sucedió en ese momento. Pasaron más de cinco años en los que no tuvimos ningún tipo de contacto hasta que nos volvimos a reencontrar casualmente en otro servicio. Entonces, ahí fue el momento adecuado, nuestro propósito se alineó, y el resto es historia.

After two and a half years of waiting, growing, and trusting in God, we knew that the time was right. On just 'another' Saturday, I was told I'd be heading out for a photoshoot with my best friend. The whole week, I was planning what to wear, my makeup, and so on. Once I was ready and we headed out, I knew something was different, almost too different. As we pulled up to the photo studio, opened the door, and walked in, I was greeted by the serenading sound of Juan Luis Guerra. When the curtains were opened, I froze and almost walked out in shock. As I walked down the aisle, to my left and right were some of our loved ones holding white roses. When I reached the end, I finally heard the words we had ALL been waiting for... 'WILL YOU MARRY ME?' P.S. I SAID YES!!! :) We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Florida!

Después de dos años y medio de espera, mucho crecimiento y confianza en Dios, supimos que era el momento adecuado. En un sábado común y corriente, mi mejor amiga me dijo que íbamos a hacer una sesión de fotos. Durante toda la semana, estuve planeando qué ponerme, mi maquillaje y todo lo demás. Una vez que estuve lista y salimos, supe que había algo demasiado extraño. Cuando llegamos al estudio de fotos al abrir la puerta fui recibida por una canción de Juan Luis Guerra. Cuando se abrieron las cortinas, me quedé inmóvil y casi salí en estado de shock. Mientras caminaba por el pasillo, a mi izquierda y derecha estaban algunos de nuestros seres queridos sosteniendo rosas blancas. Cuando llegué al final, por fin escuché las palabras que TODOS estábamos esperando... "¿TE CASARIAS CONMIGO?" P.D. ¡DIJE QUE SÍ!!! :) Estamos tan emocionados de poder celebrar este próximo capítulo en nuestras vidas contigo. ¡Nos vemos en Florida!
