"I Said, I Do... And So The Adventure Begins!!!"

We met through a mutual friend Rafea while they both were unexpectedly in Las Vegas. I was living in Henderson, Nevada at the time and had planned to spend some time with my dear friend Rafea before his departure. We had scheduled some time to meet up and he had a few friends with him. We all decided to go to a bar downtown and hang out. This is where the plotting all started 😆!!! We were enjoying ourselves, and before the night ended we exchanged numbers. I promised to have breakfast or lunch with Lee before he left. I met with him and his traveling party that consisted of all males. We enjoyed ourselves while eating and good conversing. The camaraderie among them was very entertaining and I really enjoyed myself. We spoke every single day upon Lee's return to Chicago. My children and I traveled to Chicago and spent five days with Lee after two months of talking on the phone. Lee and I met one another's parents, which went well. We then traveled to Puerto Rico a week after the children and I left Chicago July of 2017. We planned our next trip for the following year while on vacation. Lee was so persistent and so sure I wasn't going anywhere. For the past two years we dated while traveling back and forth to spend time with each other. I made our second trip to NYC in August of 2018 while I had started making preparations to move back to Illinois.

My 25th birthday 😉 had just passed on the 1st of February. Everyone assumed Lee would pop the question at dinner, but he didn't. Then everyone guessed he would do it on Valentine's Day, but he didn't. Now, fast forward 8 days from Valentine's Day and I'm laying in bed sick, sick, sick. I just wanted to be left alone in bed. Lee was with the children downstairs, I assumed they were eating and such. I heard footsteps and whispers in my sleep of course I think I'm dreaming until the lights are popped on. My son Romeo is holding Lee's phone and videotaping with a sign in his had. My daughter Lena is holding a jewelry box and smiling. The children were on Lee's side of the bed, which is unusual. While the children were distracting me with their presence, Mr. Lee was kneeling on my side of the bed. He prompted Romeo to turn over the sign and it stated, "Baby, Will You Marry Me?" P.R.I.C.E.L.E.S.S.
