Where is the wedding taking place?

We are excited to celebrate our special day at Memory Garden, a historic state park in Monterey, CA.

What time is the ceremony? What time is the reception?
Answer
The ceremony will begin at 12:30 PM, followed by the reception at 4:00 PM. (Both events will be held at Memory Garden, Monterey, CA.)

What is the dress code? What should I wear?
Answer
For Women: Consider a cocktail or midi dress in soft pastel hues, floral prints, or shades that complement the wedding colors of terracotta and sage. Light, breathable fabrics like linen, chiffon, or cotton will keep you cool and stylish. As the ceremony and reception will be on uneven gravel, please avoid stilettos—wedges, block heels, or dressy flats are perfect choices. For Men: A tailored blazer with dress slacks or chinos is ideal. Light fabrics such as linen or cotton in complementary shades to terracotta and sage will keep you looking sharp and comfortable. Dress shoes or loafers are best suited for the gravel outdoor venue. Please avoid wearing white, as that is reserved for the couple.

What weather should I expect?
Answer
In August, Monterey usually treats us to perfect weather with mild temperatures and little rainfall. Daytime temperatures are typically around 79°F, and it cools down to about 57°F in the evening. Of course, we can't guarantee the weather, but we’re hoping for the best on the big day!

What should I expect after the ceremony?
Answer
After the ceremony, the couple will take photographs with immediate family and the wedding party. During this time, there will be a three-hour intermission to allow for the transformation of the space from the ceremony setting to the reception area. We warmly encourage guests to return to their accommodations to relax and refresh or to explore the scenic downtown Monterey area, where you can enjoy the local shops, restaurants, and beautiful waterfront views.

Can I bring an additional guest?

We’re so excited to celebrate with you! Due to limited capacity at our venue, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. We truly wish we could include everyone, and we appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

What type of food will be served during the reception?
Answer
We will be serving a variety of delicious offerings provided by a taquero, including street tacos with your choice of chicken, carne asada, or al pastor, as well as quesabirria tacos, rice, beans, and an assortment of additional treats for guests to enjoy throughout the celebration.
