FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Wear something beautiful but comfortable! We want everyone to look and feel their best. There is no official dress code, but cocktail or floor-length dresses, suits, or slacks with a nice shirt are all great options. Keep in mind that this is April in Texas, so be prepared for any temperature!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony at the Marty Leonard chapel and dinner at Soma Winery are both completely indoors, but please be aware that there is no covered parking at either location.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

FOR THE CERERMONY: Parking can be found on the west side of Sanguinet Street, between Lovell Avenue and Curzon Avenue. Once parked, walk east across the street to get to the chapel. FOR THE RECEPTION DINNER: Parking can be found along Main Street and Daggett Avenue. There is also a pay lot behind the winery with plenty of parking spots. FOR THE AFTER PARTY: The best area to park is in the street on Collinwood Avenue or Linden Avenue (be sure to stay to the east of Margaret Street). To avoid being towed, do not park in the Vending Nut Co parking lots to the north of the bar or in the warehouse parking lot behind the bar.

Question

Where should I sit at the ceremony? At dinner?

Answer

Please sit anywhere you feel comfortable for both the ceremony and dinner. There are no sides and no seating charts.

Question

When should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Plan to arrive at the Marty Leonard chapel for the ceremony by 5:15pm so that you have plenty of time to park and find a seat. After the ceremony, please feel free to head directly to Soma Winery to enjoy dinner. There will be appetizers and drinks available upon arrival with dinner being served shortly after.

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

We will be serving a light appetizer, refreshing salad, two pasta entrees (chicken and beef), and a yummy Texas classic dessert. Beverages include red and white wine, domestic beers, iced tea, coffee, and soft drinks.

Question

Can I take pictures with my phone or camera?

Answer

We hired a professional photographer for our ceremony, so we kindly ask that all cameras and phones be put away at the chapel so that everyone can enjoy it in real time. At the dinner, you are welcome to take pictures with your own device!

Question

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

The gift of your presence is enough for us! We are lucky to have all that we need for our life together. Cards with your well-wishes are always welcome and appreciated. If you would still like to provide a gift, some suggestions can be found on the Registry page.
