We're getting married!

It was winter 2010 and Tashana had spent the night stalking people through Rae’s Facebook feed. Then, she stumbles on Rory’s page. He was handsome and seemed like such a gentleman. She told Rae she had to meet him. A month later, Tashana was still persistent about meeting, so Rae decided to reach out to a mutual friend, Donald, to make the connection. Meanwhile, Rory was kickstarting a modeling career, with Donald as his photographer. At this point, they were both used to Donald getting calls from women, asking, “who is this guy in your photos?” When Rae called, all she got was “oh boy”. But since he was close to Stretch (Rae), he knew his friend was in for a pleasant surprise. Meanwhile, Rory did some Facebook stalking of his own. He found an angelically beautiful woman with an infectious smile, a sense of style better than his, and someone who loved to have fun. He had to meet her. Now, Rory isn’t one to play games, so he called as soon as he worked up the nerve. The first conversation was over 3 hours. In fact, Tashana passed out on the phone, and Rory got butterflies hearing how cute her snore was. Their first meeting was at a party, where Tashana brought her friend Juliet. Unfortunately for her, they hit it off right away and they both forgot Juliet was there. The next few dates involved dinner, ice skating, a museum party and a Janelle Monae concert. But it was Rory's shimmy over an Olive Garden steak that made Tashana know he was "the one" early on. After such an amazing start, Rory had the genius idea that he wanted to move to California. But he underestimated how special Tashana was to him -- it only took a week or two for Rory to invite Tashana to his new home, kicking off 3 ½ years of long distance. In April 2014, Tashana finally made the move to Oakland. And in November 2017, while vacationing in Morocco, Rory finally popped the big question. They’ve had quite a journey and ecstatic to celebrate their next chapter with you in October!
