White Water River Rafting

Enjoy a group float down the Arkansas river! There are many rafting companies in the area with which you can schedule an adventure down the river! It’s a popular spot for rafting, so you’ll see it offered all over Buena Vista and Salida. There’s different levels of difficulty and full or half days to choose from.

Lost Lake Trail

A short 40-minute drive over Cottowood Pass to this beautiful trail. There’s lots of hiking trails around the resort for all skill levels (see front desk for suggestions).

Climb a “14er”

Feeling ambitious? The resort is at the base of Mount Princeton, one of 58 Colorado peaks that exceed 14,000 feet in elevation. They’re difficult to hike, and we highly recommend being acclimated to the elevation before attempting to summit this peak- however, if the mountain is there, why not hike it? Just do your research and plan accordingly if you’re climbing this mountain!
