Where to stay

Important: To book accommodation at Cape Gloucester Resort, please contact us directly as we have reserved the venue. If you'd like to stay there, we will help facilitate your booking. To keep the venue special and exclusive, we kindly ask that no one stays at Cape Gloucester Resort the night before the wedding. We recommend booking accommodation for Tuesday and Wednesday nights so you can easily access the return transport from the venue to Airlie Beach on Thursday morning. If you prefer to stay the night before the wedding, we suggest booking accommodation in Airlie Beach. We will arrange transport from Airlie Beach to the venue on the morning of the wedding. Important: There are limited transport options to Cape Gloucester Resort from both Airlie Beach and the airport. To make this easier for you, we will be providing bus transportation from Airlie Beach to the venue on Tuesday morning, with a return bus on Thursday. Details on the transport schedule will be posted on this website closer to the event. The dress code

We have no dress code for this event however, the bridal parties will be dressed formally so you can plan your outfit accordingly. The ceremony is on the beach and the Whitsundays in October has an average temperature of 27 degrees during the day and 23 degrees during the night, so dress comfortably to suit.

The reception will be held at the same venue as the ceremony, a casual setting located within the resort. Guests will be provided with a selection of share platters served throughout the evening.

The venue has limited options so we suggest booking as soon as you can but otherwise by the end of June.

What to bring

Answer

The resort has a lovely pool, so be sure to bring your togs. Before catching the bus to the resort, we recommend stocking up on your favourite items, as there are limited options at the venue. It's a good idea to bring breakfast supplies unless you plan to eat out.
