This is totally up to you but please let us know on the RSVP tab. If you are bringing your wee ones, please bring their own food / chairs if needed and their favourite entertainment as the wedding day won't be tailored for children. We also would highly recommend safe guarding those growing little ears with defenders, especially for the babes in arms.
You're in the right place....did we mention Rach has a nut allergy?! Merchiston itself is a nut free zone so for all you peanut avoiders, you have nothing to fear. All food is made and cooked on site. Food will of course include nut / gluten free, vegan and veggie options. However, please include a note to us in your RSVPs with any intolerance's / food you like to avoid so we make the catering staff aware.
A large car park is available to the right hand side of the school as you drive into the grounds. Ushers will be around to guide you if needed.
We have so many to choose from! Take a look at our travel and accommodation tab for more info.
We absolutely do. Take a look at our travel and accommodation tab for more info.
Merchiston is south of the city but is very central. If staying in town, you are looking at no more than a 15 / 20 minute drive away from the location.
We'd recommend looking at Air B&B's in Bruntsfield, Morningside or Colinton (South Edinburgh). If unsure, please reach out to Rachel or Rory and they can check where you're looking before you book.
Not specifically. The main theme is just bright and boozy!
Bright colours are encouraged. Hats, suits, ties, kilts and trews are of course welcomed. However, ultimately, wear whatever makes you feel great!
Loads to choose from but Charlie Miller, Medusa or Cheynes are good if you're looking for somewhere central in Edinburgh. For slightly less central, we'd recommend Hot Head, Sonte and Babu in south side, Kopper Fox in Polworth, The Projects in Tollcross and Austen Thompson in Leith. For the lads, Stag Barber and Ruffians are the best!
International guests will have to fill in a passenger locater form but that should be it. However, although restrictions have been really stripped back, we'd recommend keeping an eye on the Scottish Government website closer to the time of the wedding. This is because restrictions are generally slightly different in Scotland to those in England / Ireland and Wales.
