Flight

Puerto Vallarta (PVR)

Sayulita does not have an airport, so you'll fly into PVR which is an hour south of Sayulita. most flights are operated via Alaska or Delta airlines.

Travel Note

Transportation to Sayulita

There are taxi services, Ubers and private cars available to book. Amor Boutique Hotel can also coordinate airport pick-up and drop-off. If you prefer to use a Taxi: Flag down one of the many Taxi drivers waiting outside of customs at the airport. Take out pesos in the airport ahead of time if you prefer to use this option. If you prefer to use an Uber: Ubers are not allowed to pick up people directly in front of the airport. You'll walk to the left once you are outside of the airport and cross the walking bridge that goes over the highway. Once you're on the other side, you're in the Uber pick-up zone. If you prefer a private car service: I've linked a few websites where you can book ahead of time. https://daytrip.com/landing/puerto-vallarta-to-sayulita https://vallartaincentives.com/destination/sayulita

Getting Around Sayulita

I would not recommend you rent a car because it's bit harder to get around and not many places to park, but feel free to make whatever decision feels best to you and your family. Surfers: If you want to surf outside of just downtown Sayulita, you might want to rent a car. El Anclote, Stinky's, Burros, La Lancha, San Poncho, etc. are all not accessible without a car. If you plan on surfing just in town at Left or Right break you will be able to walk with your board from just about anywhere in town. Although Sayulita is very walkable, there are many folks that rent golf carts to get around town a little easier. There are many golf cart rental companies, I've listed a few below. If you are staying at the Amor Boutique Hotel, you will still be able to rent and park a golf cart on the property. The companies listed below can coordinate to drop off wherever you are staying. https://www.rivieragolfcarts.com/ https://kalivasayulita.com/ https://www.sayulitalife.com/roy

Travel Note

Getting Out of Sayulita

You will not be able to order an Uber to get from Sayulita to the Airport (you can only go from the Airport to Sayulita). You can either order a private car via the links mentioned in the above section, talk to your Uber driver that drives you to Sayulita on the way there and ask if they'd take you back - keep in mind you'll need pesos to pay for the ride back. You can also go to the Plaza in downtown Sayulita and there will be a line of taxi's/vans constantly lined up waiting to give rides. You can talk to them ahead of time and schedule pick-up or head down a half an hour before you need to leave.

For all the days along the way
