Our paths first crossed on social media, we followed each other and started to get on each other's radar. We had a quick interaction in person at one of Asia's DJ gigs in Detroit but officially connected in the DMs. We talked on the phone Monday and scheduled an early Friday morning breakfast date in Grand Rapids which turned into a short visit to Free Alchemy, Asia's studio, which turned into a nature walk. Our conversation flowed naturally and as we discussed alignment walking side by side, we literally saw and felt a light shine directly on us. That was the sign both of us needed to continue to walk together, always side by side.

We were in Cabo San Lucas for Asia's dear cousin Imani's wedding. Asia was both maid of honor and DJ for the special occasion, by the end of the evening, she was ready to relax however Jay insisted for them to take a walk on the beach to mark their last evening in Mexico. Little to Asia's knowledge, as she spent the day helping her cousin prepare, Jay decided to seize the moment in such a special space. It just so happened to be a vendor market at the resort and Jay found the perfect jade ring as Asia confirmed weeks before that she wanted a unique ring and mentioned she'd dreamed of being proposed to on the beach. Jay led Asia back to the beautiful gazebo on the beach where the nuptials took place earlier, now lit up against the stars. Still in her bridesmaid dress, Jay made Asia's dream come true.
