Foxwoods Resort Casino
A good selection of restaurants and retail stores. It’s a nice place to walk if your not into the outdoors. This casino is also linked to the MGM Grand casino which has an Tánger Outlet as well. Poli and I aren’t into gambling but hey to each it’s own.
Mohegan Sun
Another really nice casino to walk around. Our favorite burger spot is here. Check out Bobby Flays Burger.
Diana's Pool
Diana’s Pool is a beautiful but short walk/hike. Nice place to just sit back and vibe. Has a nice pool of water. It’s an extremely easy hike. From the car to the pool/water area maybe 2 min. away. Enjoy!!! 20 Dianas Pool Rd Chaplin, CT 06235 United States
Wolf Rock
Here’s another really cool trail. This trail was discovered by Jomar and Yari a few years back during winter break. I believe Jomar was in 5th grade. We walked this trail to find a small footbridge that was named Dads Bridge. As soon as we crossed it Jomar mentioned to me that we should not go any further and bring dad the next time. Poli joined us the following time and we found a small dock over a pond. Moving forward years later, we hike this trail either together, alone, when we need a break from each other or even bring family and friends to enjoy the seen. Captain Daniel Packer Inn Restaurant and Pub
This has been our favorite restaurant to visit for the last 6 years. We go every year mostly for our Anniversary. We are not fancy dinner people nor does Poli like to sit in a restaurant for a long time. The small, chilled, basement pub style is perfect. Ever had a good lobster Mac and cheese? Well this place never disappoints us. From the roasted garlic with bread, to the hot lobster roll, crispy Brussel sprouts and even there expressing cafe. Great quality food and needless to say the price is great. You can take a nice walk in the small downtown. It’s a perfect place to really enjoy before or after a great dinner. Top choice of food we both enjoy!
