Welcome Event- Lough Corrib Lake Cruise

Casual and in Layers as it may be cool. There is a covered interior, in case of rain. We will go rain or shine!

Welcome to Ireland! Come join us to meet everyone on a lovely cruise around the lake complete with an open bar and plenty to see with the best guides in Ireland. With 365 islands and surrounding Connemara mountains, we thought what a nice way to see the area but by water. We have hired a family run passenger boat service on Lough Corrib, operated by brothers Patrick and David Luskin. Interesting note, their father John Luskin, purchased one of the original tenders (lifeboats) from the Cunard Line of the famous QE2 at an auction in Sandwich Marina in Kent in 1975 and called it the Isle of Innisfree. There is a full bar service and toilet facilities onboard. Enjoy the outdoor upper deck and the lower enclosed deck. The cruise departs at 5:30pm sharp from Ashford Castle Pier right at their front step!

As our nearest and dearest, we would be honored if you would join us in Ireland in this beautiful setting to celebrate our marriage. Directly after the ceremony please join us for photos and a cocktail and canapé reception followed by dinner and dancing.

Ellen Philbin, Mother of the groom invites you to join her, Joseph and Roopa for high tea, sandwiches, pastries and sweets in the Connaught Room inside Ashford Castle. Come see how this high tea thing works…. I’m sure they will have coffee and something a wee bit stronger!
