Roo and Jack were brought together at their 10-year high school reunion just a couple of years ago. Roo mainly decided to attend because it was down the street and had a group of friends to go with. Jack, meanwhile, was bullied by his best friend Ryan into "coincidentally" having dinner at Local Cantina just steps from the reunion. Roo noticed Jack the moment he walked onto the patio of Carsonie's and wasted no time inserting herself into a group conversation with him. She spent most of the night casually (and not-so-casually) keeping tabs on him, eventually demanding he hand over his phone so she could put her number in it. After a long day in the sun and a "few" drinks, Jack neglected to handover the phone and went home. Thankfully, he woke up the next morning to a text from Ryan informing him of 3 things: 1. He's an idiot 2. He needed to text Roo (number provided) 3. A dinner reservation was made for them later that week Ryan may or may not be banned from OpenTable since that reservation never got used, but Roo and Jack did have their first date at High Bank Distillery soon after. Fast forward 3.5 years and roasting Jack about that night is still fun. We can't wait to celebrate!
