Rontrell and Kenya officially met June 4th 2019 in Seattle, Washington. After seeing each other in passing at multiple church events, Kenya took the step that Rontrell didn't...and "slid in the DM's." LOL! Rontrell went on to tell Kenya where he was from and why he was in Washington State. He also shared that he hadn't yet been shown around Seattle! Kenya immediately offered to take him to one of her most frequented spots, the Pike Place Market and Wings Over Washington. And we won't mention how anxious and scared Rontrell was during the ride...but he ended up LOVING it! Rontrell made it clear, that the relationship would be completely platonic. And Kenya respected the notion, but jokingly replied, "I understand. But I can't help it if you end up falling in love with me." The two would enjoy each others company and end up hanging out more often. Rontrell's time in Washington would fly by, as all things do when you're having fun! His Military obligations would cause him to move to Ft. Riley, Kansas in February of 2020. Although the two were separated, they made sure to stay connected. There's an old saying, "Distance makes the heart grow fonder." And it seemed that it would end up being proven true for these two! The two would eventually surrender to their feelings and decide to go from just being friends to dating. The obstacle that goes by the name of "distance" wouldn't stand a chance, as Rontrell made up his mind to make Kenya his wife on July, 17, 2021! Surrounded by family and friends in his hometown of New Orleans, he would pop the question...and Kenya would happily say, "YES!" So here we are!
