The summer of 2018 Ronnie had the opportunity to go out to Los Angeles for several months and work with a team of songwriters and producers. She made connections and friends and just as she got back to Atlanta she received a friend request from someone named Luke Lindgren. They had mutual friends who said he was a really cool guy so she accepted. Soon after Luke messaged Ronnie and the two began chatting and building a friendship. They both made each other laugh and quickly realized they were interested in each other, so Luke flew Ronnie back out to LA after a month of talking and FaceTiming. Luke started his own business as a cinematographer and he decided to move to Los Angeles in 2017 after living in Colorado and Alabama to learn more about the film industry. He noticed a girl his friends were posting about on social media and he decided to shoot his shot. Little did he know Ronnie had already moved back to Atlanta, but that didn’t stop them from pursuing the connection they had. Once they met, they knew they had something special and didn’t want to pass it up. They decided to continue their relationship long distance for 2+ years. Covid was a scary time, but even that didn’t keep them from their commitment to each other. During this time, Luke started fostering a little dachshund named Penny who eventually we adopted. In January of 2021, with the love and support of her friends and family, Ronnie moved out to LA to be with Luke and start their life together. They started playing music with some friends and even performed a show together in Hollywood. They made some great memories in LA, but as time passed they knew they didn’t want to settle there. By fall of 2022 they decided to make another move. This time somewhere with more open space, beautiful mountains, rivers and lakes with outdoor activities and easy accessibility — Idaho. Luke’s sister and brother-in-law (Lydia and Aaron) had just moved to Boise after living in Puerto Rico for a while so they were excited to live close to them and start a new chapter. Ronnie, Luke and Penny packed everything up and made the move to Boise together. After living in Boise for close to 3 years they decided to continue building a life there and bought a house! A few months later, after 7 years of ups and downs, through Covid, through the loss of loved ones, through severe sicknesses, through moves, and through so many incredible memories in between, Luke took Ronnie on a little hike on Bogus (our ski mountain) and as they watched the sunset, he asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. The biggest and best “YES” of all time. Our story is so special and uniquely ours and we couldn’t be more grateful to take this step together after all this time and celebrate with the people we love. We are so so lucky to have friends and family who have supported us every step of the way and have loved us no matter the miles and through the distance. We do not take it for granted and appreciate each and every one of them more than words can say. 🤍
