After both moving to Jacksonville, FL post-graduation due to jobs, Ronnie and Gillian separately found the Church of Eleven22 — a church that hosts over 15,000 attendees weekly. After two different coincidental encounters, Ronnie and Gillian ended up in the same Bible study a couple of weeks apart — a Bible study that was at capacity, but Gillian was brought by a new friend, and Ronnie was told to go by a couple he met in church. After a few months of seeing each other weekly there, Ronnie asked Gillian on a date. Unbeknownst to one another, months prior — when Gillian and Ronnie first attended the small group at the same time — Ronnie had called his dad asking if he knew anyone from OH because he felt like he knew this new girl in Bible study and, if he didn’t, he was determined to. Alternatively, Gillian had actually been calling Ronnie “Bible Study Boy” to her friends and family when talking about her growing crush on this boy in her small group. After their first date, it was evident to both that this was the person they had prayed for. The next year and a half was filled with countless more dates, trips to Tennessee and Ohio; introducing one another to their families and favorite people, new jobs, new cities, sweet memories, contagious laughter, and a lot of “that’s not how we say it in the South.” Ronnie asked Gillian to marry him on 5.24.25! They are so eager to spend the rest of their lives together. It turns out Ronnie does indeed know quite a few people from Ohio now — and we cannot wait for you to celebrate with us there!
