Our first meeting was lackluster. It was Kirsten's final year of vet school and she had just started clinical rotations, and it was Andrew's first year of his equine surgery residency at Washington State. While recovering a patient from surgery, he asked her where he could get good Mexican food in the middle of the night after a colic surgery on a horse, to which she laughed and said..."um, this is Pullman - try Taco Bell." His reply after living in SoCal for two years was HELL NO. She handed him a syringe of pain medications for his patient and walked off. It was hard to ignore the handsome new equine surgery resident so after many weeks of flirting and pretending we finally had our first date four days after Kirsten finished that rotation in the hospital. That was October of 2014! Since then we've gone through some of the best and most trying times of our lives; two plus years of long distance, a residency, first jobs, a move to California, a second move to England, our first holidays away from both families, our first house, going from one pet to three, lots of amazing trips (including our dream trip to Croatia), a California King size bed, and a beautiful engagement in Kirsten's favorite place on the planet...Kona. Here we are, seven years later and incredibly blessed. We can't wait to share our day with our absolutely fabulous group of humans!
