Foresthill Bridge
The Foresthill bridge stands at 730 feet over the North Fork of the American River and connects Auburn to Foresthill. This is the highest bridge in California. It made its appearance in movie’s “XXX” in 2002 and “The Ugly Truth” in 2009. It is breath taking!! One of our first dates ended up there where we hiked below and left our love in sharpie on its footprint. 🖊💕
Sugar Pine Reservoir
Sugar Pine Reservoir is a reservoir in Placer County, California, located approximately 7 miles north of Foresthill. It’s got a good trail to hike.
Upper Lake Clementine
Great swimming spot! Bring a sack lunch and floaties. If you’ve got a kayak, drop in here and head down the river for private sand beaches. We’ve spent many happy afternoons here. Excellent boat in camping! 🚣♀️ 🏕

This is the closest full service grocery store. It has hot, sandwiches, pizza and fried chicken with a picnic table outside with great view! Hours are 7am-11pm.

The BEST dungeons crab sandwich!! 🦀 😋 (💵 $20ish) A great place for local homemade pie (meat and fruit). Many jams, fresh and dried fruits, nuts, wine and other local farmers market finds. Love this place!
