Due to limited venue space and a HUGE number of wonderful kiddos in our life, we are unfortunately unable to include children this weekend. Young babies that need to hang with their parents are an exception.
Due to widely available covid vaccines (YAY) we are going forward with our wedding as planned! We want all of our guests to be comfortable so please mask, distance, etc throughout the weekend as you see fit. This will be a mostly outdoor event, and we know that most of our guests have received both doses of the vaccine. **We ask that if you have not received the vaccine you continue to wear a mask when indoors** We will also have hand sanitizing stations available.
While all are welcome to attend BOTH the welcome dinner on Friday and the wedding reception on Saturday, you are free to come for whatever fits your schedule! Just make sure to RSVP to both events separately.
Brown Mountain Beach Resort is in a no-cell-service area (SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR GOOGLE MAPS LOADED). Don't worry - there will be wifi available on the main patio of the venue as well as a landline for emergencies. This place is so beautiful and relaxing we hope you don't even remember you have a phone!
We will only be providing dinners Friday/Saturday night (as well as breakfast for onsite guests Saturday/Sunday morning). Onsite cabins and yurts each include a small kitchen (fridge, stove, coffee maker, etc.) Feel free to bring your own snacks, drinks & lunch foods. There will also be a small cafe available onsite that has wood fired pizza for purchase, or there are many eateries in downtown Morganton for those staying at hotel or wishing to venture out.
We will contact everyone individually once lodging is assigned. If you are assigned onsite lodging you will need to make official reservation and payment through Brown Mountain Beach Resort. If you are staying at the Marriott or other location, you are welcome to come hang onsite as long as you want!
Transportation will be provided from the Marriott in Morganton ONLY on Saturday at time of ceremony/reception. The trolley will pick-up at the hotel at ~2:30 and ~3:30, and the last trolley back will leave the venue following the reception between 9:30 and 10:00 pm. Please keep in mind driving services like Uber will be unavailable in this area; you will need to drive yourself (responsibly!) if you plan on spending time onsite outside of these hours.
Dressy casual! Keep in mind we will be hanging by the river, getting married on sand, and it will most likely be hot. Think summer dresses, button ups, etc. (but really whatever you want!)
