Naval and Girlie (mother of the bride) are co-workers at California State Medical Facility. While at work, Naval sees picture of Girlie's daughter, and as she explains, "Oh, that's my daughter". He states, "Well in that case I'm going to call you mmy for mommy!" Girlie brought Roni-Jo to a work party, introduced the two, and after several encounters the two decided to go steady. A perfect pair culminated by the match maker / mother of the bride.

In May 2021, Roni-Jo was living in Utah, Krisman came to visit her for her birthday. After attending Sunday mass, Krisman rushes upstairs leaving Roni-Jo to park the car. She walks into her apartment, lights dimmed, decorated with candlelight, rose petals scattered on the floor. With tears of joy, she finds Krisman bended on one knee, ring in hand. She says yes! When the lights turn on, she was surprised to find Nanay, Tatay, Kristian, Girlie, Tracy, and Ronnie (virtually) hiding behind the kitchen island. A birthday engagement celebration with a surprise visit from the family!
