Jacob and I met the way all great love stories begin—in a medical school library. I was actually studying, and Jacob who never really needed to, was trying to find people to play soccer. At the time, we were just two medical students crossing paths in Hershey, Pennsylvania, completely unaware that we would find each other on the same path again. Fast forward a few years, we found ourselves as co-residents at UPMC in Pittsburgh, where we became not so immediate best friends. Between fighting for moonlighting, study sessions for our boards, COVID, and spoiling my dog, Penny, friendship eventually turned into something more. Now, after years of laughter, hard work, and a lot of life together, we’re excited for what’s next!
