We are married now!

We met in 2012 at HBU our freshman year at our track compliance meeting. I hadn’t yet turned 18, so I had to bring some paperwork home so that my parents could sign them from the meeting. The coach then asked me when I was going to turn 18, and I said “September 10th.” Jarell made the loudest noise in the back to show his excitement because we have the same birthday. I thought he was crazy. The more we saw each other at track practice, the more we started to hang out and befriended one another. I never thought he liked me because we were friends, but he did. I started to like him back and after we told one another, we became boyfriend and girlfriend. Neither one of us officially asked to be bf and gf, we just had this understanding that we were together. Shortly after our engagement at our house warming, we tied the knot at a small, beautiful ceremony at our home. We wanted to be married before the year was over and our parents and siblings made sure we had the best day! We both agree that so far, that has been the best day of our lives. So many great things have happened last year; us purchasing our first home, getting engaged, and getting married are just a few. We have been truly blessed and we are so grateful for all of the support from you all.
