Flight

Washington Dulles International AirportWashington Dulles International Airport

We recommend flying into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) — it's by far the most convenient option for our wedding. Dulles is the closest major airport, putting you just minutes from both the venue and your hotel. The Washington D.C. area is also served by Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI). However, both are farther from the venue and will require significantly more travel time. We strongly recommend Dulles for the smoothest experience.

Train

AmtrakAmtrak

For our guests coming from the New York and New Jersey area, hopping on Amtrak is one of the easiest and most stress-free ways to get here — no traffic, no airport lines, and a smooth ride straight into the D.C. metro area. Washington Union Station (WAS) is the most popular stop and the main D.C. hub. It's easy to book, trains are plentiful, and it's a great option if you'd like to spend a little time in the city before heading out to Reston Town Center. Alexandria, VA Station (ALX) is our hidden gem recommendation. If getting to Reston quickly is your priority, consider booking your ticket to Alexandria instead — stopping here cuts about 20 minutes off your commute to Reston Town Center and is a quieter, easier arrival experience overall. From either station, Uber and Lyft are readily available for a quick rideshare to your hotel. If you're renting a car for the weekend, both stations offer convenient pickup options as well.
