Ron and Jamie met in 2013 while they were both attending the University of Arizona. Ron, who was a freshman while Jamie was a sophomore, lived with his three cousins--Melanie, Dana, and Tracy--and his Brother, Russ, in a house. Jamie was and is a close friend of Melanie's. Melanie had introduced Jamie to Ron during a hike (see pic in gallery for proof/laughs). Jamie was instantly drawn to Ron's quick wit and sense of humor, though at the time, only saw him as Melanie's baby cousin. Ron had always seen Melanie's friends as off-limits, although Jamie's smile didn't go unnoticed. Although the love story didn't exactly begin from the start, their lives would weave and intertwine throughout their college years. They declared the same major and shared many of the same classes. It wasn't until well after college that Jamie and Ron had really considered the idea of dating. Melanie and her husband, Jake, suggested on more than one occasion to each of them that they would make a great pair. Then things really heated up when Ron sent the first direct message to Jamie over Instagram. He replied to a story that Jamie had posted of Nellie (Nellie is Jamie's perfectly sweet and not at all psychotic dog). Jamie would then take that as a indicator that she should post as many stories of Nellie as possible to prompt more responses. And, more often than not, Ron took the bait. When Melanie and Jake got engaged and asked Ron to be their officiant, Ron used this as an opportunity to ask Jamie out on their first date; centered on wine, snacks, and "practicing my lines for the wedding" (lines were rehearsed once). From that first date, Jamie and Ron instantly knew that they had something special with each other. They both took their connection extremely seriously out of respect for their relationships with Melanie, but they didn't have to try. The flow of conversation, attraction, and relationship blossomed without effort or a second of hesitation. Together they have enjoyed hiking, cooking, trying new restaurants, and traveling to different ends of the country. Jamie and Ron have loved their progression from acquaintances, to classmates, to friends, to becoming a couple, and finally, to getting engaged. Their relationship has always grown in a way that struck a balance between feeling extremely comfortable in where they are now, and being eagerly excited to see where their future together takes them. Jamie and Ron are so pleased to have you join them in the marking of the next chapter of their love story, and are continuing to dream of what lies ahead.
