How should I dress for a winter wedding?

Answer

Both our ceremony and reception will be held indoors (and the venue is heated), but expect the weather outdoors to be in the 30s. The dress code is semi-formal to formal: suits, cardigans, long sleeves, dresses. Think of it like a fancy Christmas party. A clothes rack will be available for you to store your coats.

How should we plan to spend the weekend?

Answer

In the D.C. area, we enjoy Theodore Roosevelt Island, the National Gallery of Art (they have an outdoor ice skating rink) and Great Falls Park. If you decide to explore Leesburg, we recommend you visit a winery, the Udvar-Hazy aviation museum, and walk around the town. Please plan to arrive at Rose Hill Manor on Sunday at around 1:30 to 1:45pm. After the ceremony at 2pm, we will have hoers d'oeuvres, then get seated at around 4pm for an early dinner.

When should I arrive?

Answer

The venue will temporarily close the doors at 1:55 PM to prevent anyone from interrupting the wedding party walking down the aisle. However, the doors will be reopened after the wedding party is at the altar.
