We were on vacation in Tahiti, staying on the island of Moorea. We had booked an over-the-water hut right above the crystal blue sea. The day we arrived, the first thing we did was go snorkeling right from our balcony, but eventually we had to unpack. Sharon was in the zone, unpacking, cleaning and organizing. So she had no clue that Ron was busy setting the scene. He set up a camera, and carefully placed it on a table at the perfect angle facing the balcony. He even opened the sliding glass doors to get the perfect view of the ocean, which Sharon kept closing every time he walked away! Once the camera was recording, Ron said he wanted to do some more snorkeling and went back into the water. Sharon decided to play some music and started blasting Bruno Mars, when Ron yelled out to her from under the hut. The room had a glass-bottom floor, and Ron was standing right under the glass, holding a shell in his hand. He said he found an oyster, and wanted to see if there was a pearl inside. Ron came back inside dripping wet and with a huge smile on his face. Sharon went over to look at his oyster shell. She was skeptical that he would find anything inside, but didn’t want to burst his bubble. Ron slowly opened the shell, and there was no pearl... there was a RING!!! Ron got down on one knee and uttered the most romantic words he will probably ever speak in his life. Unfortunately, Sharon didn't hear much of it, partly because the song "Gorilla" was playing so loudly, but mostly because she was so surprised. But she said yes!! It didn't stop there. Ron took a still-shocked Sharon and led her to the coffee table where he played a video on his iPad. It was a video of Lucy, sitting in a field of flowers, with a special message for Sharon. At the end of her message, Lucy proposed and asked Sharon to be her stepmom. That's when Ron presented her with another ring, and that's when Sharon started crying tears of joy. And said yes again!
