Indian women typically wear saris, lehengas, or anarkalis for weddings, often in vibrant colors. These outfits are embellished with intricate embroidery, sequins, and beads, and paired with traditional jewelry like bangles, earrings, and maang tikka to celebrate the occasion. Indian men may wear traditional attire like kurta or sherwani, or opt for indo-western outfits, which blend traditional styles with modern touches. If you're unable to procure traditional Indian attire, formal Western attire, like a suit or cocktail dress, would also be acceptable. Indian weddings are super colourful. Let your imagination flow with colour choices for outfits. It is best to be wearing more flowy outfits versus things that are bodycon dresses.
Indian weddings/events are colourful events. Put on your most colourful garments and enjoy the festivities! Typically, black is an inauspicious colour in Indian culture so we encourage you to stay away from black at the Wedding event. Feel free to wear it during the reception!

In keeping with Hindu wedding traditions, all events leading up to the reception will be dry, meaning no alcohol will be served. In Hindu culture, weddings are sacred and focus on spirituality, unity, and family, and alcohol is typically not part of these ceremonial events. However, alcohol will be available at the reception for those who wish to enjoy it. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating this special occasion with you!
