How he proposed

December 10, 2025

Matt and I are both huge music lovers, so for the holidays, he got us tickets to see one of our favorite Jazz vocalist, Samara Joy sing with the Boston Pops at the Boston Symphony Orchestra. It was a special occasion to get all dressed up (Matt is usually always in his Boston sports gear lol). We had an amazing experience at the show. Samara was amazing, and the Pops performed some of our holiday favorites. The show brought tears to my eyes; it was one of the best musical experiences we have had. Just when I thought the night couldn't get any better, Matt suggested we take a stroll down to the Public Garden to get a late-night drink at one of our favorite bars, Contessa. As we walked the city at night, arms linked together, we were just admiring the beauty of Boston and basking in how amazing the show was. We reached the bridge in the center of the garden, and he asked me to look over towards Beacon Hill to see one of the Christmas trees all lit up. When I turned around, there he was on one knee, asking me to marry him. I was so in shock, my jaw on the floor, I don't know if I said yes, but I bent down and kissed him and couldn't stop jumping up and down. (I thought it was cliché when girls did that at proposals, but it's really just natural instincts). We are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together. Matt is my best friend, he's the newest part of my family, he is the funniest person I know, and I am sure he would say all the same about me. We are so looking forward to having our loved ones join us in celebrating our union.
