The church ceremony will take place on Tankar Island. The ferry will leave Kokkola at 12:00 on July 25th, 2026. After the ceremony we will take the ferry back to the summer house for a reception with dinner and drinks.
We love people and want to have a great time so guest are more than welcome. For the chapel, please consider the amount of tickets provided in your invitation and divide them how you see fit. Then everyone from the chapel and those who could not make it may come to the reception. Please just let us know who will attend the reception so we can save them a spot.
First book a flight from California to Helsinki Finland. Then take the VR train from downtown Helsinki directly to Kokkola. Please let us know your arrival time and we can pick you up from the station and help you get to your accommodations.
it will be summer time in Finland but we are very far north so typically the warmest it gets is mid 70's. Typically no heavy jackets or gear is needed but please check the forecast beforehand. THERE WILL BE MOSQUITOES. PACK BUG REPELLENT, or pick some up on your way in.
