In Hollywood, Beachwood Canyon. The address will be sent out to confirmed attendees, but if you are looking to get a sense of place, distances to hotels, other parts of the city, etc, we will be in Beachwood Canyon.
Hollywood Burbank Airport is the nearest airport. It is small, so one can't always fly in there, but if it is possible, it is the best option. About 20 minutes from the Orchard. LAX is the larger airport, which is about an hour from the Orchard. There is a FlyAway bus to Union Station ($10, flylax.com), where the rideshare/taxi will be cheaper than from the airport directly.
There are a number of hotels nearby at different price points, including ~ The Adler A / Hollywood Franklin (walking distance, above the famous 101 Cafe) ~ Dunes Inn (former home of the Dreams Cafe & Bar) ~ The Dixie Hollywood (classic motorcourt in the heart of Thai Town) ~ Cara (Old Hollywood vibes close to Thai Town) ~ La Mirage Inn (walking distance, also to the Franklin strip - cafes, ice cream, great used book store) ~ Kimpton Everly Hotel Hollywood (4 star joint overlooking the city of Hollywood) ~ more interesting places up the Cahuenga pass and over the hill in Burbank and North Hollywood There are also AirBnBs abounding in the hills
Full bloom regalia, eternal spring, cosmic caballero, maypole maidens and morris dancers, and medieval surrealist garden party attire. The ground is unpredictable, so bear in mind while selecting footwear. This is a whimsical celebration, and these are some themes we are exploring and are inviting you to explore, but only so far as it fits within your own authentic expression. It is not a costume party, dress for life!
