FAQs

The Wedding Website of Romona Goodwin and Kelvin Basier
Question

Are we allowed to bring our children to the wedding and reception?

Answer

While we absolutely adore your little ones, our wedding and reception will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this allows you to relax and enjoy the evening with us.

Question

Will the wedding and the reception be at the same Venue?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will be held at the chapel, and the reception will follow just across the street at the Quantico Officers’ Club. It’s an easy walk between the two, but you’re also welcome to drive over, whatever is most comfortable for you.

Question

Can I bring additional guest?

Answer

While we wish we could include everyone, we are only able to host the guests specifically invited. We are so grateful for your understanding as we plan our special day.

Question

Who should I contact if I have Dietary Restrictions?

Answer

If you have any dietary restrictions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Romona Godwin, we’ll be happy to accommodate you

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding and reception?

Answer

To help make our celebration special, we ask that guests dress in business or cocktail attire. Jeans, shorts, and sportswear are not appropriate.

Question

What is the process to gain access to Quantico Marine Base to attend the Wedding?

Answer

Base Access Information for Our Wedding at Marine Corps Base Quantico Individuals who already have a valid Department of Defense (DoD)–issued identification card—such as a Common Access Card (CAC) or a Teslin card (Retiree, Dependent, Reserve, or Individual Ready Reserve)—may use their credentials to access the base. All other guests must submit their full legal name, date of birth, and Social Security number to Romona no later than September 1st so a background check can be completed for base access authorization. All approved guests will be required to present a valid government‑issued photo ID or one of the authorized DoD IDs listed above when entering Marine Corps Base Quantico. Please plan to arrive early to allow time for security processing. In addition, all guests without a DoD ID must meet with base security personnel on Friday, October 16 to present their REAL ID or U.S. Passport and be issued a base pass for the wedding on Saturday, October 17. Romona and Kelvin will meet groups at the Staybridge Suites in Stafford on the hour from 11 AM to 2 PM to escort guests to the base office to obtain their passes. To schedule a time with them please contact Romona at 703-677-0239 Please note that access will only be granted to invited guests whose names appear on the officially approved guest list.
