The proposal

First off, I thought I was gonna know when Ryan propsed but he did such a good job because I had no idea. We had been wanting to go to Brianhead for quite some time all winter & hadn’t been able to. I had put in for vacation for a sunday but didn’t end up needing it & I was gonna go to work but Ryan insisted I stayed home & we would find something to do. He suggested we go to Brianhead for the day to go tubing. After a fun day of tubing we headed to St George for dinner. As we arrived to St george Ryan insisted we make a stop to a park he had found on the internet that was really pretty. Not gonna lie in my head I was like “ No way?” “Is today the day?” But I was so confident that I would’ve known by now I forgot about it. We arrived to the park & it was night time by now. Ryan again insisted we go on a walk around the park. This entire walk I was complaining about how cold it was but Ryan insisted we kept walking & I would be fine😂 He took me down a bridge in a dark alley way then ended up in a pathway with a bunch of trees and bushes. As we walked around we got lost but he eventually found the path again & I saw the candles on the floor & instintly knew what was going on. Ryan walked me down the path of candles & got down on one knee. Asked me if I would marry him & I said YES!!! Ryan got me the exact same wedding ring I sent him a picture of when we were first talking. It was such a special moment & we were so blessed to have his mom Brenda there to capture it. Afterwards we headed to dinner & then came home to my family waiting for us 💛

How we met

Ryan & I have actaully known eachother for quite some time. He was friends with my cousin so he was kinda always around at family gatherings or at my house every once in a while. But I was roughly 12 at that time & I never saw him in a attractive way. I graduated high school in 2017 & I got a job as a cashier at a gas station that he actually worked at as a security guard. Ryan and I were friends but we didn’t officially start talking until 6 months after. I was actually the one who messaged him first & told him I thought he was cute. Ryan & I hit it off real quick and ever since then you’ll always see us together. We both had found what we were looking for & just loved being together. But, as much as I liked him I didn’t want to date him because I was leaving to serve a mission for my church at the end of the year. Even though he had always told me he would wait for me I was still anxious about being in a relationship. After months of debating whether we should date due to me leaving I fell for him even more & said YES to being his girlfriend in the summer of 2018! We’ve been together ever since & he is my best friend 💛
