In the fall of 2021, two people came together and met for the first time through their love for education. While Dan was transferring jobs into the city school system, Vanessa was stuffing folders and preparing students for the upcoming school year. Vanessa would then be a part of a panel that interviewed Dan, and that was where their story begins. Over the next few weeks, Vanessa and Dan would spend mornings and afternoons together getting to know one another. From stories about their history to discussing their siblings getting married on the same day, they formed a connection. That continued when Dan began looking for an apartment closer to his new job, and Vanessa was there to help every step of the way. A new relationship began shortly thereafter, and little did they know, their lives would be changed forever.

Two years later, with several trips taken and new pizza places rated, their love would take another step forward. After a day with friends was abruptly cancelled, Dan convinced Vanessa to take a trip into Manhattan to spend the day. With Brooklyn in the background to showcase where their journey all began, Dan got on his knee and asked Vanessa to marry him. Amongst the shock and awe from everyone around (who were all complete strangers), Vanessa, through tears of excitement and happiness, said yes.

Today, you can find them watching Netflix, playing games, and continuing their passion for trying new pizza. They also are trying to convince one another to take a chance on new things. Dan is always attempting to get Vanessa to try new foods and new places, while Vanessa is slowly getting Dan to become an avid beach lover.
