After months of poking and prodding from mutual friends, Mike messaged Catherine on Facebook. We met at a local coffee shop one evening. It wasn't exactly love at first sight, but we became fast friends. After years of back and forth and friends asking, "Will they, or won't they?", we finally began dating on 5/2/19. Three whole years after meeting!

Mike decided to propose in the midst of quarantine 2020. That day we planned to hike at Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. We hiked for about three miles and sat down for a scenic picnic lunch. On the way back to the car, Mike suggested we sit down on a bench. After minutes of talking, it was time to head home. Catherine got up and said "You ready?" Mike then stopped and said "Hey Catherine!" He got down on one knee and the rest is history.
