FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 15, 2026. We need final headcounts for our caterer, seating arrangements, and meal selections. Thank you for helping us by responding by this deadline!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! You can find our registry at zola.com/wedding/rollinsbadillo Your presence is truly the greatest gift! But if you wish to celebrate with us, we've made it easy through our registry.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at St. Sylvester Church between 12:30-12:45 PM to get settled before the ceremony begins at 1:00 PM. This gives you time to find parking, greet friends, and find your seat. We can't wait to see you!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Strictly Formal - Dress to Impress! Think your most elegant attire: Ladies: Floor-length gowns, formal cocktail dresses, elegant jumpsuits, or traditional ternos Gentlemen: Suits or tuxedos with ties, or traditional barongs Everyone: Dress shoes required We encourage spring colors and florals inspired by our Gumamela (Hibiscus) palette featuring pinks, reds, and greens. We would be honored to see barongs, ternos, kimonos, saris, or any traditional cultural attire! Please avoid pure black or pure white outfits - we're embracing color for this celebration!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Only guests specifically listed on your invitation can attend due to venue capacity. If you have a plus-one, both names will be on your invitation and RSVP card. If your invitation includes "and guest," you're welcome to bring a date - please include their full name when you RSVP so we can prepare a place card for them.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Children are welcome and we'd love to celebrate with your whole family. Please be sure to include all children's names and ages in your RSVP so we can prepare appropriate seating and accommodations for them.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend these Staten Island hotels: Hilton Garden Inn Staten Island - 10 minutes from wedding venues Hampton Inn & Suites Staten Island - 15 minutes from wedding venues Additional options available in: New Jersey (15-25 min) - Often more affordable! Lower Manhattan (30-40 min) - Great for sightseeing Brooklyn (30-40 min) - Trendy neighborhoods We suggest booking early as spring is a busy season in NYC! If you're coming just for the wedding, Staten Island is most convenient. If you want to make a NYC weekend out of it, consider splitting your stay between Manhattan/Brooklyn for exploring and Staten Island for the wedding day.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please note all dietary restrictions, allergies, or food preferences when you RSVP. Our caterer at The Stone House can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, halal, and most other dietary needs. If you have specific concerns, feel free to reach out to us directly at Natalie (347) 695-7155 or Joshua (425) 785-7854.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! On-site parking is available at St. Sylvester Church for the ceremony. The Stone House at Clove Lakes offers complimentary valet parking for all our guests at the reception. Both venues have ample parking to accommodate everyone.

Question

How long is the ceremony?

Answer

Our Catholic Nuptial Mass will be approximately 60-75 minutes. The ceremony will be in English with beautiful Filipino wedding traditions woven throughout. All are welcome regardless of religious background! We'll have programs to guide you through the Mass.

Question

What should non-Catholics know about the ceremony?

Answer

All our loved ones are welcome regardless of religious background! We'll have programs to guide you through the Mass. During the ceremony, the congregation will stand, sit, and kneel - feel free to follow along or remain seated if kneeling is uncomfortable. During Communion, non-Catholics are welcome to remain seated or come forward with arms crossed over your chest to receive a blessing from the priest.

Question

Why is there time between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Following Catholic tradition, our Nuptial Mass will be held in the early afternoon prior to Saturday evening Masses at the church. In the Catholic faith, it's customary to allow time between the sacred ceremony and the festive celebration, honoring the solemnity of the sacrament before transitioning to the party! This gives everyone a chance to enjoy Staten Island, relax at their hotel, or explore NYC in between.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We welcome you to capture memories during our ceremony. Feel free to take photos and videos to commemorate this special day with us. Please be respectful and try not to block others' views.

Question

What's the weather like in April?

Answer

Late April in NYC typically ranges from 50-65°F during the day, cooler in the evening. Both venues are primarily indoors with climate control. We recommend bringing a formal wrap or jacket for the evening and an umbrella - spring weather can be unpredictable! Both venues have solid flooring, so heels are fine if that's your style.
