So between the couple there is quite a bit of confusion on the specifics of how they met. The one thing that they can agree on is that they met through the sister of the bride. He tells the story that they met at an adorable coffee shop in Stevens Point called Zest when the bride was stressing over a college application essay. Kiley mentioned a friend who was an English major who could help proof read the essay before she submitted it. After a few coffees and some serious help editing, the essay was complete and the bride was smitten. The Bride says that they met when she was attempting to rehome a rambunctious kitten who terrorized the cat already living with her. Kiley then mentioned a friend who was looking for a pet. Kiley brought the friend to the childhood home of the bride and the Groom immediately fell in love with the kitten, taking her home with him. After seeing how adorable this man was with the kitten the bride was definitely crushing on him.

Jake took me on a trip to Pictured Rocks, one of his favorite places to go, for a long weekend. While hiking the trail between Miners Castle and Miners Beach he spotted a spur that lead to a beautiful view of the cliffs. After taking some cute and dorky pictures he decided that it was the perfect moment to ask me "Will you?". Being oblivious I had to ask him "will I what?" to answer me Jake got down on 1 knee and asked if I would marry him. The perfect proposal and completely spontaneous.
