"We're getting married!"

We met by chance, weeks of texting turned into a first date that almost didn't happen due to rain. Nervous and scared since it had been 21 plus years since a first date for Christina and 15 years for Rolando, we took our time . We think we got the hang of it because our first date has turned into four years of "Us". Proceeding with caution almost a year later, after our first rainy date , Rolando met mom, dad and big sister (Christina breaking out in hives due to nerves). Rolando took his first family beach trip to Port A in June 2018, and survived the Cousins , Aunts and Uncles! Rolando being born and raised in Virginia is slowly adapting to Texas life, loving barbacoa , Big Red and Bar B Que , but still not a Dallas fan. Like the song his ex does live in Texas, this is how he relocated here to be close to his kids. He has gained some great smoking and grilling skills! Rolando's four children and Christina four children makes for a new family of 8, plus 4 grandchildren. The children range in ages 35 years old to 7 years old! The grandkids are 15 years old to our newest arrival born December 10, 2020. Through our own individual heartbreak , loss and circurmstances the Lord has given us a second chance to love and share a life together. We are so very blessed and excited to share this date with family and friends.

Taken by surprise Rolando proposed on the annual family Port Aransas trip. In a state of shock it took Christina 24 hours to say yes , her first response was "wait ... what?" Surving a rough 2020 like so many of us have endured. We can't wait to become husband and wife.
