When should I RSVP by?

We kindly ask that you RSVP before June 1st, 2024! We hope you can make it!

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

Yes! There will be transportation provided from the Church to the reception. There will also be buses at the end of the night for guests who are staying in the other hotels closer to the town centre.

Please let us know if you have a food allergy when you RSVP. We will make sure to accommodate you!

Yes! We will be having a day after gathering at The Tank Pub on Tuesday, July 23rd! The Tank Denncross, Carrickaboy, Co. Cavan

Yes, there is plenty of parking!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, unless specifically included on your invitation, we will be unable to accommodate plus ones. We appreciate your understanding.

Unless your child is specifically included on your invitation, we politely request that only adults attend.

Should we fly into Dublin or Shannon airport?

Answer

Dublin! It is very easy to get to Cavan from Dublin airport. It is about an hour and a half drive. It is also very easy to get a bus from Dublin to Cavan. "Bus Eireann" is our recommended bus company.

When should I buy my plane ticket?

Answer

We recommend watching flights. After the Christmas holidays, summer flights tend to drop.

What other counties are near Cavan?

Answer

Cavan is in the Republic of Ireland but it boarders Northern Ireland. Donegal, Galway, and Mayo are popular destinations that are relatively not too far from Cavan.

Where in Cavan should I get my air bnb?

We would recommend being on the closer side to the town centre. Outside towns are great as well but most of the bars/shops/restaurants are "in town". What is the best way to communicate while in Ireland?

We suggest downloading the "Whatsapp" app. It is used regularly in Ireland for messaging and phone calls. It uses the internet so you don't have to worry about charges from your provider. We do recommend contacting your provider to let them know that you will be traveling out of the country to see what the international policy is on your plan.

What currency is used in Ireland?

In the Republic of Ireland, they use the euro. In Northern Ireland, they use Pound Sterling (usually just referred to as Sterling). Cavan and Dublin are in The Republic of Ireland. The 6 Northern Irish counties are; Antrim, Down, Armagh, Derry, Tyrone, and Fermanagh.

This is NOT like a zip-code here in the US. An “eircode” is a unique 7-character code given to each individual address in Ireland. This is the easiest way to get directions.

Over 35% of addresses in Ireland share their address with at least one other property, making it difficult for those delivering goods and services to accurately identify the location of an address. Eircode, Ireland’s postcode system, launched in July 2015 and has been designed specifically to overcome this problem. Unlike other countries where postcodes define a cluster or group of addresses, a unique Eircode is assigned to each residential and business address. This app is the solution for delivery drivers, sales people, service engineers and the general public to accurately locate properties and get directions. The app uses Eircode for property addresses and what3words for all other locations in Ireland. what3words is a unique combination of just 3 words that identifies a 3m x 3m square anywhere on the planet.
