Question
How do I get there, whats the best airport, and is transportation arranged?
Answer
We recommend flying into Glasgow Airport (GLA), as it is only a 25 minute drive from here to the Cameron House. Please note, hotel check in 4:00 pm, so please reach out to the Cameron House, or whichever hotel you are staying at to ensure they can support your arrival if you choose to fly in prior to this time. Another option is to fly into Edinburgh Airport (EDI), but the drive from here to the Cameron House will be around an hour and a half depending on traffic. Private Transfer Services can be arranged prior to arriving through the concierge team at the Cameron House (https://www.cameronhouse.co.uk/). Taxi and Uber are also available for trips to/from the airport. Car rentals are an option as well, as the Cameron House has ample free parking available for guests. International Driving Permits are also not required for US citizens driving in the United Kingdom, but do ensure you have your passport and valid drivers license, and double check with your rental company for possible other requirements. Traffic flows opposite the traffic flow in the US, and roads are often narrow and winding in nature, so we recommend renting only if you have experience driving in such environment.

Where should I stay, and are there group rates/hotel blocks?
Answer
The Cameron House on Loch Lomond (wedding venue) is the most convenient. You will be on site where the wedding is taking place, and have access to the special amenities (Golf course, swimming pools, jacuzzi's, sauna and steam room, fitness center, full service spa, dining etc). Rooms can be booked at discount when code "WEDD" is applied at checkout. The discount rate only applies to rooms selected from the 18-19th of September. Additionally, this discount rate only applies to classic bedrooms, not suites. Please visit their website, at https://www.cameronhouse.co.uk/ to check out the extensive amenities and activities available at/near the Cameron House. Do reach out to the hotel to book in advance, as some special services and activities can fill up. The Cameron Club Lodges are another great option for larger groups, as the rooms can sleep 6-8 people comfortably. Please note, however, these lodges are around a 5-10 minute drive to the Cameron House. Please see the Travel section of our wedding website for further nearby recommended lodging options.

What is the dress code and how should I pack for this time of year in Scotland?
Answer
The dress code for the wedding will be cocktail. In September, the average daytime temperatures average around 59-63 F, and are much cooler in the morning and nighttime, falling to around 45-50 F. September is also one of the wetter months for Scotland, with frequent showers that can arise unexpectedly. Fog can also roll in unexpectedly and suddenly, leading to a sudden drop in temperatures. We recommend packing layers, a water-poof jacket and quick dry clothing for the wedding and various other activities you have planned for your trip, as the weather can shift quickly.

Can I bring a plus-one even if not listed?
Answer
More than likely, yes, but will depend on overall attendance rate. We both hope all of our guests have a great time with their loved ones. Please reach out to either of us if you have a plus one we did not account for in the original invite, and we will do everything in our power to accommodate your request.

Children are welcome! For table and food arrangements, please note on the RSVP if you plan to bring children so we can ensure they have seating/dietary requirements met.
