For travel to the US: Irish, British and other European visitors will need a valid ESTA/ visa waiver. You can apply here: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta It normally takes around 3 days for an ESTA to be processed - sometimes quicker, sometimes slower. Once processed, ESTAs last for two years, so you might have one already from a previous visit to the US. Make sure your passport is valid! For travel to Ireland: US passport holders do not need a visa for short stays/holiday purposes.
No registry! No need for gifts, especially from those of you who have travelled so far.
