FAQs

Question

I see the event has two dates listed, what if I am only able to make one of the days?

Answer

That’s no problem at all, we want to celebrate with everyone for as long as their schedule allows. Let us know if you are able to come Friday and/or Saturday when you RSVP on the upcoming invitations.

Question

Will there be a ceremony on each day that I would be able to attend?

Answer

Yes, on Friday there will be a Hindu ceremony and on Saturday will be a Jewish ceremony. Everyone of all faiths is encouraged to participate in the festivities at their comfort level.

Question

Is Indian clothing required to attend the Hindu ceremony?

Answer

No, we understand that many people do not have formal Indian outfits and absolutely do not want to require them to be worn. Answer

The ceremony on Friday will be more free-flowing and allow for children to attend, however the events on Saturday are asked to be adult-only unless specifically cleared with the couple.

Question

Will there be transportation to the ceremonies?

Answer

On Friday, there will be transportation from the Conrad Hotel (50 West Washington St.) to the location of the ceremony, as it is about a 20 minute drive away. The ceremony on Saturday will be within walking distance of the recommended hotel, so no transportation will be provided.
